Course Description

Languages link people and introduce learners to new ways of thinking about the world.  Through learning Japanese, students will be able to build their language and cultural knowledge, increase their understanding of their first language, gain skills to learn further languages and understand the importance of language learning.  The communicative approach used features a variety of language immersion activities.

Assessment Information

There will be two speaking and listening tests over the two terms as the focus of the Year 9 Japanese oral communication. The reading test is on the Hiragana script and the writing assignment is to produce a milestone PowerPoint presentation.
