Course Description

Recommended Prior Learning

Students needs to be performing at curriculum level 5P or higher in at least four of the topics covered in the 10MAT course and a PAT stanine grade between 4 and 6. A pass in the numeracy CAA in Year 10 is an advantage.                  


This course is aimed at those students who need to gain the solid mathematical base at Level 1 that is required before being able to progress to Mathematics and Statistics courses at Level 2.  This is a general course providing a coverage in the key areas of numerical methods, measurement, statistics, trigonometry, and algebra that are required for many vocational pathways.

Assessment Information

Achievement Standards 91944 and 91945 will be assessed using a range of tasks during the year that will culminate in a final grade late in Term 3.
Achievement Standard 91946 is an External Standard which will be submitted for assessment externally in October.
