Course Description

Recommended Prior Learning

Students that are performing below curriculum level 5B in four or more of the topics covered in the 10MAT course, have a PAT stanine grade of 3 or lower, and have not passed or were not entered for the numeracy CAA in Year 10 will have the option of doing this course.


This course is aimed at enhancing student understanding of basic mathematical processes.  The emphasis is on number, statistics and measurement skills that are required in vocational pathways.

Assessment Information

Unit Standards 26623, 26626, and 26627 involve building a portfolio of work over a specified timeframe.
Achievement Standards 91026, 91029, and 91030 will be assessed via closed book testing and each will have a reassessment opportunity.
Achievement Standard 91036 involves a group work component and has no reassessment opportunity.
