Recommended Prior LearningA pass in all three Level 1 Mathematics and Statistics Achievement standards covered in either of the Level 1 Mathematics and Statistics courses. These results must include a pass in the Statistics standard AS 1.1 (91944).
This course is aimed at those students who have a flair for Statistics and intend doing degree courses at university that require statistical skills. This is a comprehensive course, focusing on statistical analysis and is a pre-requisite for Level 3 Statistics.
Achievement Standards 91263, 91263, 91265, 91266 and 91268 are assessed as open-book assignments and have no reassessment opportunity. Achievement Standard 91267 is an External Standard assessed in November.

These factors can also impact on timetabling, and as a result students will be asked for input about any clashes that may occur.
Where a course is not able to be run, students' back-up subjects will be used. If there are issues with student selections and the timetabling process, students will have the opportunity to make a decision in conjunction with staff input on the best solution.
