Course Description

Recommended Prior Learning

A student needs to have passed at least five Level 1 Mathematics and Statistics Achievement standards covered in any Level 1 Mathematics and Statistics course, including a pass in both the Internal Standard AS 1.10 (91035) and the External Standard AS 1.12 (91037) to be able to cope with statistical content in this course.


This course is aimed at those students who have a flair for Statistics and intend doing degree courses at university that require statistical skills.  This is a comprehensive course, focusing on statistical analysis and is a pre-requisite for Level 3 Statistics.

Assessment Information

Achievement Standards 91263, 91263, 91265, 91266 and 91268 are assessed as open-book assignments and have no reassessment opportunity. Achievement Standard 91267 is an External Standard assessed in November.
