Course Description

Recommended Prior Learning

A pass in all three Level 1 Mathematics and Statistics Achievement standards covered in either of the L1MTX or L1MTK courses. 

These results should include an Achieved grade or higher in both the statistical methods internal and statistical interpretation external.


This course is aimed at those students who have a flair for Statistics and intend doing degree courses at university that require statistical skills.  

This is a comprehensive course, focusing on statistical analysis and is a pre-requisite for Level 3 Statistics.

This course offers 18 credits (14 internally and 4 externally).

Assessment Information

Achievement Standards 91263, 91263, 91265, and 91268 are assessed as open-book assignments and have no reassessment opportunity.
Achievement Standard 91260 will be assessed via closed book testing and has a reassessment opportunity.
Achievement Standard 91267 is an External Standard assessed in November.
