Social Sciences

The Social Sciences Learning Area encompasses both Geography and History. It is about society, how people interact with their environment both in the present and in the past. 

History looks at how events in the past inform society today, while goegraphy looks at why both natural features and human made features are found in particular locations. 

Both of these subjects look at different viewpoints and perspectives that people have on events whether these events are in the past or occuring in the present.
