Spanish for year 9 students is focused on a basic level which gives students tools for conversational Spanish such as ordering food, dialogues at the airport, etc. It is also intended to show students cultural aspects of the Hispanic countries around the world.
Assessments consist of different types of speaking activities like speeches and interactions, reading short texts, write notes and messages, listen to dialogues, vocabulary and grammar.

These factors can also impact on timetabling, and as a result students will be asked for input about any clashes that may occur.
Where a course is not able to be run, students' back-up subjects will be used. If there are issues with student selections and the timetabling process, students will have the opportunity to make a decision in conjunction with staff input on the best solution.
